University Crusader Seniors Say Goodbye: Corey Beebe

Some of the best writers in America got their start on newspapers: Hemingway worked for The Kansas City Star and the Toronto Star. F. Scott Fitzgerald and Robert Frost both had their first pieces published in school papers. It ain't a bad place to start, folks.
I don't know if I'll continue with journalism, but whatever happens with my writing career (and after $80,000 something better happen) I hope that my editor is even half as passionate and committed as Aaron Mueller. He gives me hope that if people have enough dedication to the written word, it cannot die. My experience at the Crusader has been invaluable, and I would like to leave my fellow writers with some encouraging words from W.B. Yeats that I read a few months ago and just can't shake: "Let us go forth, the tellers of tales, and seize whatever prey the heart long for, and have no fear. Everything exists, everything is true, and the earth is only a little dust under our feet."
