Anonymous terror against Scientology
unnamed group seeks to destroy the church of scientology

Attacks on the Church of Scientology started in January by a group called 'Anonymous' whose goal is to expose the church for what it really is. Attacks were started by denying access to many users to the Scientology website. The group's reasons for doing this are to "save people from Scientology by reversing the brainwashing" it said in a statemnt realesed via ABC news. The attacks on the church were in response to it trying to remove videos of high-profile member Tom Cruise from the Internet.
In late January the Church of Scientology had received envelopes of white powder at 19 of the churches in Los Angeles and Orange County area. The FBI confirmed the envelopes were sent to various locations and later tests indicated the powder was harmless. During this month the Church said it received 241 harassing phone calls including death threats against members. On Jan. 22 leaders of the church claim they even received bomb threats.
On Feb 10 the members of 'Anonymous' protested outside the Phoenix Church of Scientology. The members of this faceless group wore masks made popular by the movie V for Vendetta where the character V attacked the totalitarian government that ruled his country and ultimately brought down the government by destroying Parliament.
The group gathered outside the Phoenix church in remembrance of Lisa McPherson. A section of the Church of Scientology staff cared for McPherson. She died in 1995 and sparked media attention because of the wrongful death suit filed against the church by her family. The suit was settled in 2004 but not before it became a media nightmare for them.
The internet-based group called 'Anonymous' has been praised and criticized for it actions against the Church of Scientology. It wants to expose the church for what it is yet the Scientologists stated they are being persecuted for their religious beliefs by a group they cannot identify.
The Church of Scientology has been getting different forms of threats but many of them cannot be directly connected to the group called 'Anonymous.' With one group speaking out others might be taking this time to threaten or intimidate the religion. In everything it is odd for the Church of Scientology to have copyrights for their text and 'secret videos.' Religion and faith should be shared to find a common understanding for the world to progress and have harmony.

Interesting article. The "Church" of $cientology is a vicious, greedy cult/corporation that must be stopped. Many people have had their lives destroyed, families ripped apart through the actions of this cult. (Continued…)

Scientology is a dangerous organization. It preys on the vulnerable. It is a selfish ideology that exploits its own followers in order to make its leaders rich. (Continued…)

This was a good article. I believe you are correct in that the world should be able to share religion and faith.
One major precept of the doctrine of Scientology is to respect the religious beliefs of others. (Continued…)

By the way,
Some of the other preceding comments show how far some people go in twisting and fabricating. It demonstrates my point in how mankind can be a bit cruel, intolerant and ignorant of someone else's religion or philosophy. (Continued…)

This article sucks a little, I'm afraid. You fail to mention that the Church has faked threats against itself before (they called the BBC 'terrorists' because of a documentary they were making), and you set up Anonymous to look like some sort of terrorist cell. (Continued…)

I'm not a Scientologist but it sounds pretty good to me, maybe it could the people who are attacking it with some of their crimes.

There is a sucker born every minute. Scientology was created about 1950. That's about 25 million minutes. So why are there only 50,000 Scientologists. (Continued…)

Scientology is not a real religion. They deserve all of the protests that they are attracting from 'Anonymous' and others. For more information, visit
