You wait in line for five minutes to get into the overly crowded DC and you notice something. The food actually is decent-not just decent, the best all year. America does not torture. We are a civilized nation. Dehumanizing detainees and then justifying it with permission slips is unjust. America should be the example for any developing nation. We learn from our mistakes and correct them. We don't justify them with a memo from legal counsel within our own government like they are permission slips to go to the bathroom when you're in sixth grade.
