After President Beebe announced his plans to move on, the board of trustees thought it was time Spring Arbor University did as well. Though the campus was saddened by Beebe's decision to leave and become president of Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Talking About Faith and Homosexuality

On April 16, Spring Arbor University will host a discussion on faith and homosexuality in the Fireside Lounge at 10 p.m. The featured speakers at this event will be Dr. Ken Brewer, Dr. Robert Moore-Jumonville and Chaplain Ron Kopicko. Each speaker will talk briefly on various topics before opening up a question-and-answer session with attendees.

The committee to select the new president of Spring Arbor University was announced to the faculty Tuesday at a faculty meeting called by current President, Dr. Gayle Beebe. The chair of the Presidential Selection Committee, E. Harold Munn, also introduced the transition plan.

On Tuesday at 7 p.m. in WG 110 the President of the American Chesterton Society, Dale Ahlquist, will speak on the intersection of faith and art in the works of G. K. Chesterton.
Chesterton (London 1874-1936) seemed a comic figure to some of his contemporaries, but his towering intellect matched his physical height of six feet four inches.

Spring Arbor has a down-home restaurant that many students have heard rumors about yet have never been there. Located only two miles from campus, the Wooden Spoon is a great way to get off campus and enjoy an inexpensive home-style meal.
Upon entrance into this facility, one cannot help but notice the large groups of Spring Arbor residents sharing their morning meals.

Student's Alliance For Equality is a Facebook group that was created after the official S.A.F.E. meeting was held in Spring Arbor, Mich. on March 6. This Facebook group is student led and is open to the community. The groups exist to promote equality and diversity.
